I’ve popped together a list of my top 7 favourite winter comfort foods with recipes that will fill you up for longer without going overboard on the calories this winter (I don’t know about anyone else but I swear my cheese intake doubles in winter…) My clients often ask me what they should be eating in order to lose weight or ask for ideas about what to eat that will help them find more balance in their diet. I can’t always answer that because everyone is different but maybe these recipes will inspire you? I’ve tried them all and love them, so I thought I’d share them with you. You can also follow my board on pinterest which has a lot of these recipes plus more of my favourite https://pin.it/az7aijrr2tq7ik

7 Comfort food recipes:
Lentils are the highest protein pulse we can get and packed full of nutrients. Plus, who doesn’t love a stew in winter?
Delicious and definitely filling this is a weekly meal that we make, but we always try to use lean beef mince to keep the fat content down.
My current favourite quick meal!
This one takes a while but it’s worth the wait 😊
So quick and easy, go easy on the cheese or use low fat mozzarella to keep the fat content down.
My old boss when I worked in the café used to make this for our lunches in Winter and it was my favourite! It’s so easy to make, it literally takes about 15 minutes and its packed full of nutrients from the broccoli. I substitute the cream for a little sprinkle of whatever cheese I have in the fridge (basically because I love cheese…)
Ok, confession. This one isn’t the lowest in calories, BUT, it’s so tasty and so full of good veggies, fibre, and good fats that it will definitely fill you up for longer! It’s definitely a good comfort food, even thinking of eating it makes me feel cosy 😊
None of these recipes are my own and I don't take any credit for them, but I have linked to where I found them and I am not sponsored by any affiliates regarding this blog post. It’s just my opinion and they are all recipes I use week to week because I love them. Enjoy!!
